Terms & Conditions

Section 1: These Terms

Please review these terms before purchasing. They explain the company identity, product provision, contract changes, problem resolution, and other key details. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

Section 3: Contract Formation

Orders are accepted via email confirmation, at which point a binding agreement begins. We assign an order number and only deliver to UK addresses (excluding Northern Ireland).

Section 4: Product Information

Product images serve illustrative purposes only; colour may vary across devices. Packaging may differ from website displays. Products are strictly for personal use and cannot be resold.

Section 5: Change Rights

Customers requesting modifications should contact us. We will clarify feasibility, pricing adjustments, timing and other relevant consequences.

Section 6: Delivery Terms

Costs: Displayed during checkout.

Timing: We make all reasonable efforts to meet selected delivery dates but are not responsible for delays beyond our control.

Responsibility Transfer: Products become your responsibility upon delivery to the stated address. Please inspect immediately and document any defects.

Section 7: Right to Cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers have 14 days to return dry, long-life products in original, unopened, sealed packaging.

Perishable exception: Fresh or perishable products, which includes all caviar, fish eggs and smoked fish, cannot be returned or exchanged.

Section 8: Termination Process

Products must be posted back within 14 days for change-of-mind scenarios. Refunds process within 14 days of receipt. Change-of-mind refunds may be reduced for handling damage.

Section 9: Product Problems

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must match description, be fit for purpose and meet quality standards:

  • Up to 30 days: faulty goods qualify for an immediate refund
  • Up to six months: unreplaceable goods merit a full refund
  • Up to six years: goods failing reasonable durability may entitle a partial refund

Canned products must be stored in a cool and dry location. Perishable or semi-preserved products must be kept refrigerated between 0°C and +4°C. No return or replacement will be accepted after expiry of the expiration date stated on the product.

Section 10: Liability

The Caviar Bar is responsible for foreseeable losses resulting from breach or negligence, but excludes liability for unforeseeable damages. We maintain full liability for death, injury, fraud, legal rights violations and defective products under consumer protection law.

Section 11: Personal Data

Customer information usage follows our Privacy Policy.

Section 12: Governing Law

These terms are governed by English law. Disputes should initially be directed to customer services via phone, email or postal address. Legal proceedings may occur in English courts, with Scottish and Northern Irish residents having additional venue options.
